We’ll Take Plenty of Pictures of Your Teeth and Smile
The first thing we will do with your initial visit is take pictures of your teeth and smile from multiple angles, so we can discuss with you any existing or potential issues we identify. This gives us, and you, a full overview of your smile, so we can fully review the orthodontic care options available to you for the results you want.
We Will Take an X-Ray, if Necessary
After we have reviewed all the pictures of your smile, it may be necessary to take x-rays for a more thorough view of your teeth. While not all patients will have x-rays taken, they are crucial for patients with severe dental issues.
You Will Consult With the Orthodontist
Once all the pictures and x-rays have been completed, you will have a one-on-one discussion with the orthodontist, so you can discuss the treatment required for your specific condition. We will discuss reasons why certain procedures are necessary, while also answering your questions and addressing your concerns about the orthodontic care you need.
You Will Meet With Our Treatment Coordinator
The final step of the process is meeting with our treatment coordinator to review the treatment options available to you. The treatment coordinator will answer your questions and also discuss the financials of the care you need. It’s even possible to start your treatment immediately after this initial consultation concludes, taking x-rays (if they haven’t already been done) and completing computer modeling, so you can hit the ground running during your next orthodontic visit.
Depending on the Type of Braces you wish to use for your treatment, we can then schedule your subsequent visits for all of your treatment needs. Most visits are scheduled every 4 to 8 weeks, lasting roughly 30 to 35 minutes apiece.
